April 26, 1915. Crowd gathers beside the Rockdale County Courthouse on Confederate Memorial Day for the unveiling of the Confederate Monument.

 

Inscribed on the front it reads :

“To the Confederate veterans of Rockdale County

 

There are 4 cannon balls, one on each corner and crossed flags with the dates 1861 1865 between the flags.


On the left side:

“Many of whom gave all, all of whom gave much.”

 

Erected 1913 by Conyers Chapter #760 United Daughters of the Confederacy.


It is located on the lawn of the courthouse on Court and Main St.  The Conyers Chapter # 760 of the United Daughters of the Confederacy is no longer active.
